The ISTRC is the only global forum for all tropical root and tuber crops and has been serving the root and tuber crops global community since 1967. Root and tuber crops are becoming increasingly important with respect to contributing to rural and urban livelihoods, food security, protection from climate change, better nutrition and lastly but not least industry. It is an excellent opportunity for sharing expertise and experiences between crops as well as creating essential networks.
